The Chinese perspective

Ever since the people republic of china attacked India in 1962, the whole of the political and social scenario between the two nations completely changed. Chinese tookIndiawith a surprise and thanks to Nehru and his bunch of generals we lost a part of land in Ladhakh to them that still hasn’t been recovered.

TodayChinahas grown much ahead ofIndiain the political and economic field. It never leaves a chance to show his power especially againstIndia. The fact is the communistsChinahas consideredIndiaa potential player in the international field that can endanger its existence and its aggressive interest in the surrounding areas. In the south east Asia only challenger to such a massive communist power come in the form ofIndia.

The Chinese blinded by their ill interests always try to encircle India and make every effort to show it mediocar, either its with the supply of sophisticated arms to India’s arch rival Pakistan, building a port in gwadawar, establishing similar construction in Sri Lanka and Myanmmar. And the separate visa policies to Kashmiris and residents of Arunachal Pradesh is an other attempt in the same direction.

What possibly the main cause of the maiden batte between the two was weak foreign policy of congressmen. The Nehru and party propogated the “Hindu chini Bhai Bhai” (Indian and Chinese are brothers), supported them on every field. Sardar patel at one time warned him of the Chinese intensions but a deaf ear was paid to his views.

And even still today, the only reason as according to me, the Chinese are showing their power againstIndiais because of weak Indian policies. If they can grant stappled visa to our kashmiri residents then why cant we do the same toTaiwanto which it has always claimed over. If they can build up roads and rail lines to our borders then why can’t we.

Chinese have never taken part in a major battle against any bigger power and when they did (againstJapanand in Vietnam war) the results are known to all.

I know there is lot of media hype comparing both the nations on power and economy grounds. Chinese believe in aggression and if they are claiming something they would have captured it a long time before or any time they wanted to. But the truth is,Indiaisn’t the nation that it was in 1962. Through politically distracted, weak in foreign policy but the Indians know very well how to protect themselves. They can defeat any world power if wanted. (I know many of you would think as some Indian with little knowledge is speaking all this)  but it from china prospective, you will find it true. Chinese know though they seem powerful though but the inner truths are still unknown, but Chinese know them very well.

Talking of military strengths- OK lets watch this.Chinahas strong restrictions on its media but Indian don’t they claim to have the most advanced jets and tanks because they tell and promote all that. While on the other hand, the Arjun MBTs get rejected, though time and cost factors are there, but if you are to begin something from scratch these are common. Moreover there were international restrictions imposed onIndiathat halted the projection of technology to its industry. But the case was quite different and opposite with china. They reverse engineered all the things. All what they Propagate is what they want others to know. But how good these actually are is still to be known and tested. While in case of India kept aside the china war, we have fought four battles with the other neighbor and china’s ally the Pakistan, who in all front was equal or even superior to Indian forces (thanks to US aid) and in Kargil has acquired the beneficiary position at the top of hills. And the results in all four of them was the same the victory of Indian forces. And taking on the indigenization, the problem is the belief of foreign equipment better than home grown. And of course the media that has been given endless freedom to speak and propagate against almost everything they like to create sensation while the Chinese media cant utter a word against their government, the Indian media on the other hand leave not even a single shot to expand like a chewing gum.

All I want to say is we are not an enemy to china or its people, we respect them as a nation, as a growing power, but not if they try to intimidate us. And what that seems may not always be true. The outer frame may be powerful but it can’t be assured the inner wood is that good as well.
